WINGED OUTLAW KARTS 2010 RULES
1. Any one single cylinder, air or water cooled, two or four stroke engine allowed. No limit to modifications and must have a working clutch and chain guard. No direct drives allowed. Transmissions or variable speed snowmobile type torque converters are allowed but engines with these are limited to 250cc’s. No limit to modifications but cannot use an engine that was factory rated over 250cc.
2. Chassis must be of typical cage kart design. It doesn't need to be WKA approved but needs to be within the "spirit and intent" of the rules. CAGE MUST BE ABOVE DRIVERS HEAD!!!!! 45 " maximum wheelbase. 1" O.D. minimum on frame and cage with at least .095" wall thickness. Must have a quick release steering hub. Must have a 4 or 5 point seat belt harness assembly. High back aluminum racing seats are mandatory
3. All karts must have a functional roof wing on their kart while racing (a center and two side panels). Keep safety in mind during construction of wings. No sharp edges. 6 square feet minimum on center of wing. Sides may be any size. If wing gets damaged during the night and cannot be repaired, it may be removed for the remainder of the night. Nose wings are allowed. Wings are allowed to be altered and adjustable during the race. Karts must have bodies in the appearance of a sprint car or a super modified.
4. All karts must weigh a minimum of 360lbs with driver at all times. All lead weight must be securely fastened and painted white with the karts number on it.
5. Track tire rules apply for all events. If there isn’t a tire rule then any approved kart racing slick may be used. Treaded or grooved kart racing tires may be used on the right rear corner only but are not required. All other corners must use slicks and may be siped but not grooved
6. All decisions will be made by a majority vote of the Winged Outlaw kart members.
7. Feature winners from last week must start last in the feature for this week. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
8. All drivers must wear a Snell 95 or greater helmet, neck collar, gloves, long sleeved shirt and pants. Fire suits and arm restraints are highly recommended. Fuel tanks must have fuel caps that are vented away from the driver. Fuel cap with check valves installed are highly recommended and are available from J.C. Specialty 570-837-0042. 9. THE WINGED OUTLAW KARTS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANTHING THAT HAPPENS AS A RESULT OF THESE RULES. THESE RULES WERE VOTED INOT EFFECT BY THE MEMBERS OF THE WINDED OUTLAW KARTS. REMEMBER RACING IS DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!! OPEN WHEEL RACING IS NO EXCEPTION. ANY SLIGHT HINT OF ROUGH DRIVING WILL RESULT IN YOUR REMOVAL FROM THE RACE AND DISCIPLINARY ACTION FROM THE WINGED OUTLAW KARTS WILL BE GIVEN IF THE TRACK WONT CORRECT YOU, WE WILL. SET AN EXAMPLE FOR THE KIDS THAT WATCH YOU!!!!
10. The Winged Outlaw Karts honor all track race formats and on-track rules. In the interest of safety, we trust that the track will step in before we have to in a situation.
